bio_picEmily Heller recently relocated to Denver, Colorado after receiving her MFA at the San Francisco Art Institute. She is a commercial photographer working for clients across the country, as well as a fine artist, showing work in various exhibitions. Her passion for food photography stems from an over eager palate and a love for color, form, and shape.

She began her career shooting photographs of furniture in the prop houses of Los Angeles as a set decorator for television commercials, music videos, and feature films. She has designed sets for hundreds of clients including Coca-Cola, Toshiba, and Puff Daddy.

Emily brought her skills to New York, working as a photo editor for Time, Inc. and Barnes and Noble Publishing before making her move behind the camera.

Her prop styling skills continue to inform her photography as she enjoys scouring the city for the perfect spoon, backdrop, or chocolate chip cookie.

Emily also enjoys shooting children and baby portraiture at helloJunior.com.

She is available for freelance assignments both in the studio and beyond.
